HEIRRI will participate at the reception “Opening Science to Society” on the 15th of November at the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the EU in Brussels.

HEIRRI will be among the 11 SiS/SwafS projects presented at the Project Pitch session. Núria Saladié, from the Studies Centre on Science, Communication and Society (Pompeu Fabra University, UPF) and project manager of HEIRRI, will explain the project next to other initiatives. Both H2020 and FP7 programmes are included, with projects like RRI Tools, FoTRRIS, GENPORT and NUCLEUS. HEIRRI is the only project of the session developing and piloting educational material for RRI teaching.

This advocacy event is organized by SiS.net, the international network of National Contact Points (NCPs) for Science with and for Society, and the Swedish Advocacy Platform for Science With and For Society. The reception will gather political representatives, members of parliament, and international experts on SwafS and RRI. Philippe Galiay and Ignasi López Verdeguer are two of the invited panellists.
