The coming 14th and 15th of January, the HEIRRI project will be presented at the conference “RRI shaping new horizons: Responsible Research and Innovation in Europe and across the World”. This event will take place in Brussels as the final joint conference of four main European projects: GREAT, ProGReSS, Res-Agora, and Responsibility. This four initiatives form the group called Go4 projects, funded under the FP7 SiS work programme 2011.
HEIRRI Coordinator, Gema Revuelta, and HEIRRI project manager, Núria Saladié, both from the Studies Center on Science, Communication and Society from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (SCS-UPF), will be in Brussels to present the project during the poster session.
The conference will spread the concept of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), its existing approaches and the tools that might impulse its uptake across Europe. Moreover, it will highlight the work undertaken by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and the consortiums of the four Go4 projects, and will foster the debate between representatives of the main stakeholders involved in research and innovation. RRI experts like René Von Schomberg (EU Commission) and Jeroen van den Hoven (Delft University), among many others, will be present in the conference.
The conference is organized by the EESC and the Go4 projects and will be held at the EESC premises, in Brussels.
