The 6th Consortium meeting of the HEIRRI project took place on the 3rd and 4th of November in Split (Croatia). It was hosted by the University of Split, who welcomed the remaining 8 members of the project to the Diocletian palace, where the meeting took place.
During the 2 days of the gathering, the different HEIRRI partners discussed about the current status of the project and the next steps to take. The meeting focused on the 10 training programs that have already been designed: 2 for bachelor degrees, 2 for master degrees, 2 for PhD programmes, 2 for HEI staff, 1 summer school and 1 MOOC. They are currently being reviewed by the members of the Advisory boards and Consortium members. The consequent training materials will be developed and piloted in the 5 HEI of the project during the second half of 2017 and up until April 2018. The HEIRRI gathering was especially crucial in order to organize the tasks regarding the elaboration of materials, and good advancements were also made towards the local partnerships between science centres/museums and HEIs.
The meeting was also fruitful to discuss about transversal issues such as the online forum, the communication plan and the HEIRRI session at the IAU Conference in Bangkok, as part of the internationalisation plan. You can discover more about each deliverable here.
The next PEC meeting will take place on February 2017 and will be hosted by the HEIRRI member from Denmark, the Aarhus University. We are looking forward to keeping the work up for the best development of HEIRRI!
