Director and founder of INNOVATEC. He is an Engineer with MSc (1981, Tokyo) and PhD (1989, Madrid). At present he is Honorary Professor of Alcala University (Madrid), Lecturer of “R&D Management” at the Complutense University (Madrid) and since 1995 expert evaluator (including chairman positions) for EU R&D activities in the areas of International Collaboration, Regional Development (included ex ante and ex post Regional Potential and Regions of Knowledge projects), Innovation, Technology Transfer, Biotechnology and Health. He has been also working as Expert Evaluator of R&D EUREKA Projects for the Center of Technology Development (CDTI, within the Ministry of Science & Innovation of Spain) and of the National Agency for Evaluation and Prospective (ANEP, Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain). Previously he has also been involved in 7veral academic positions. He is the Coordinator of the H2020 project RegHealth-RI, participates in FP7 EU-LAC health, and coordinated the FP7 project EVAL-HEALTH.
Senior consultant and co-founder at INNOVATEC with a university graduate in Biological Sciences. She as a broad experience in research activities, mainly in performing desk reviews for analysis of the state of the art for various projects, field work (interviews and questionnaires) and preparing summary reports and drawing conclusions. Her past professional work has been focused on R&D technology transfer and collaborative projects and information management. She has previously worked as Technology transfer officer at Alcala University, Business development assistant for a pharmaceutical company and Evaluator of R&D Projects for the Center of Technology and Industrial Development (CDTI). She actively participates in the coordination and management of FP7 and Horizon 2020 projects in which Innovatec is partners or coordinates (COLUMBUS, EVALHEALTH, EU-LAC health). During the last year, she has been directly involved in the preparation of RRI project and has participated in expert meetings related to RRI.
