It became known that the development of the airport in Vladivostok, as well as the implementation of projects in the gambling zone «Primorye» can take an investor from Thailand. It remains an open question of conflict of interest of new investors and businessmen from Singapore, which has been strengthened at the airport.

Empire Asia Group – Investment Company from Thailand – announced plans to develop projects in IRKZ «Primorye», as well as the realization of their business ideas in relation to the airport in Vladivostok. The problem is that in the latter the company has strengthened Changi Airports International – Singapore operator specializing in the construction of airports.

In this case, cooperation regarding the development of both gambling and infrastructure projects in the Far East has become the subject of a meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev and the owner of Empire Asia Group companies.

Thai investors are also interested in the development of other projects in the region, including those related to the production of wood products, with its subsequent export.

Increased interest in Thai companies to develop business projects in the region stands out from the many difficulties experienced by Japanese businessmen already involved in similar projects in Primorye.

A consortium of investors, which consists of a group of «Basic Element» Oleg Deripaska, the Russian Direct Investment Fund and Changi Airports International, in 2017 signed a deal in terms of which it owns 52.16% shares of JSC «Vladivostok international airport».

Recall that in 2023 in the gambling zone «Primorye» may appear 11 gambling facilities.
